Cancellation policy
BAROQ Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy
BAROQ does not permit cancellations, modifications, or refunds on orders once they have been placed, except in limited cases of proven error on our part (defective or damaged product upon receipt). This policy is deliberate and final. Coffee is perishable, roasted fresh, and dispatched quickly to preserve peak quality. Allowing routine cancellations or changes would compromise freshness, consistency, and the value we protect for every customer.
Core Rules
- No cancellations — Once payment is confirmed and the order is placed, it cannot be cancelled for any reason, including change of mind, second thoughts, or the appearance of a later promotion/discount.
- No modifications — You cannot alter blend, grind setting, quantity, shipping address, or any other detail after submission.
- No re-ordering to exploit promotions — Orders placed before a discount, offer, or promotion launches cannot be cancelled to re-place under new pricing.
- Subscriptions & recurring orders — Follow the same no-cancellation rule once a billing cycle begins. Use the customer portal or contact us before the next billing date to skip, pause, or cancel future shipments. Requests after billing apply to the following cycle only.
- Pre-orders — Non-cancellable once confirmed and payment is taken.
Exceptions (Replacement Only) If your order arrives:
- Defective (e.g., seal compromised in transit, confirmed off-flavour after our review)
- Damaged (packaging failure affecting product)
- Incorrect (wrong blend, grind, or quantity due to our error)
Contact coffee@baroqcoffee.com.au within 7 business days of receipt. Include:
- Order number
- Photos of the issue and packaging
- Brief description
We will review promptly. If approved:
- We will replace with the correct/fresh item at no additional cost (including return shipping if required).
- Refunds are issued only if replacement is not possible (e.g., item out of stock).
No partial refunds, no change-of-mind credits, no exceptions for subjective reasons (e.g., “didn’t like the taste”, “preferred a different roast”).
Why This Policy Exists Coffee deteriorates rapidly after roasting. Our small-batch, precision process ensures maximum freshness at your door. Returns or cancellations would force restocking of aged or opened product — unacceptable under our principles of restraint and excellence. This policy protects quality for all customers and eliminates waste.
Order Flow Reminder
- Immediate confirmation email upon placement.
- Dispatch: typically 2–6 business days from our Melbourne warehouse.
- Once dispatched: no changes or cancellations possible under any circumstances.
Review your order carefully before submitting. We stand behind every bag we roast — if it arrives compromised through no fault of yours, we resolve it swiftly and without question.
